Abstract The Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage (SMES) device is gaining significance in utility applications, as it can handle high power values with a fast rate of exchanging energy at efficiency. large-scale invasion renewable systems into grid give rise to many integration issues. This SMES these issues due its various features. In this study the role tackling stability presence wind generation farms investigated. Doubly Fed Induction Generators (DFIG) based are most popular their distinctive advantages. Their intermittent output and sensitivity disturbances gives These problems require innovative advanced control strategies. Here coupling Static Compensator (STATCOM) (STAT-SMES) has been suggested for boosting transient hybrid DFIG Synchronous Generator (SG) system. For investigation different faults speed variation considered. coupled controller compensate real reactive powers along damping oscillations under test conditions entire chopper link controlled using Fuzzy intelligent system Proportional Integral (PI) controller. connection STATCOM shows better improvement all variables. comparative among STAT-SMES, PI only STATCOM, without any performed MATLAB/Simulink. simulation outcomes indicate that proposed than other conditions.
